Jamilee Yern is a recent graduate from the University of Florida where she majored in Public Health and Anthropology along with a Medical Anthropology certificate. She was an intern for the Alachua County Health Promotion and Wellness Coalition where she helped educate the community on alcohol and drug abuse, as well as provide resources to those who were battling drug and/or alcohol addiction. She is passionate towards social justice and epidemiology, and is an advocate towards decriminalizing cannabis use. Jamilee is excited to work with the Herbal Heart Study team to reduce the stigma around cannabis use, as well as the possible effects cannabis has on cardiovascular disease!
